The subject of taxes can be one heck of a confusing topic, and it can be both frustrating and intimidating if you don't know where to start. The purpose of this site is to take a subject that many find difficult and make it simple. The idea behind this site is

"Small business tax information without the hype."

Even if you don't have a serious IRS problem, you can still benefit from visiting. Perhaps you are just starting out with your small business, or you are thinking about testing the waters. Biztaxadvisor.com is intended to be an IRS problem solver resource and tax information source for the self-employed, no matter what stage you're at.

Chances are that you are good at what you do for a living. On top of that, you may sometimes feel like you're expected to have an accounting degree just in order to keep onto some of your hard earned cash. It hardly seems fair... Somehow, it is as if the IRS and the tax profession expects us to feel guilty if we don't know as much as they do!

The good news is, that if you just take the first step and start learning, the basic tax rules don't change that much from year to year. It is a myth that money and tax topics have to be boring. Accountants, yes...that's a different story!

Important 2008 update: After spending almost 2 decades in the accounting, tax and IRS problem resolution arena, I retired from this area of work a couple of years ago. However this site was still getting a lot of visitors, and I received a lot of email and positive feedback from visitors who had found useful information here on Biztaxadvisor.com. For this reason, I decided to leave the site up and running, and I am reviewing it on a regular basis to keep the information up to date. I no longer answer individual tax questions, but I am seriously considering adding a forum where people could have their tax question answered by tax professionals who wish to participate.
