It is important to keep your filing status in mind when using the 2007 federal tax table. This may seem very obvious, but this is where taxpayers often make mistakes, especially if they are in a rush while preparing their taxes. Remember, each filing status - Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately, Single and Head of Household, has its own column in the 2007 IRS tax table.For example, if you are married, but filing separately from your spouse, make sure that you refer to the applicable column.
