2005 Tax Table
The IRS 2005 Tax Table can be accessed by clicking on the link below. Make sure to follow the accompanying instructions at the beginning of the document, especially with regards to using the appropriate column for your filing status. You should only use the 2005 IRS Tax tables if your total 2005 taxable income exceeded $100,000. If your total taxable income exceeded that figure, please refer to the IRS Tax Rate Schedule on page 13 of the 2005 federal tax table.
The IRS provides the following example:
Example. Mr. and Mrs. Brown are filing a joint return. Their
taxable income on Form 1040, line 42, is $25,300. First,
they find the $25,300–25,350 taxable income line. Next, they
find the column for married filing jointly and read down the
column. The amount shown where the taxable income line
and filing status column meet is $3,084. This is the tax
amount they should enter on Form 1040, line 43.
