2004 Tax Table
Using the 2004 Tax Table for
form 1040 filers? Then here's something you should be aware of:
It is important to keep your filing status in mind when using the 2004 federal tax table. This may seem very obvious, but this is where taxpayers often make mistakes, especially if they are in a rush while preparing their taxes. Remember, each filing status - Married Filing Jointly, Married Filing Separately, Single and Head of Household, has its own column in the 2004 IRS tax table.
For example, if you are married, but filing separately from your spouse, make sure that you refer to the applicable column.

was less than $100,000. If your taxable income during 2004 was more than
than $100,000 you must use the IRS 2004 tax rate schedules. They are available
